Sudha Murty’s support for N.R. Narayana Murthy during the inception of Infosys is a well-known fable, but her role as a social worker, acclaimed writer, educator, and now a Rajya Sabha member puts her influence beyond one particular sector. She was awarded the Padma Shri in 2006 for her work through the Infosys Foundation and the Padma Bhushan in 2023 for her contribution to the field of social work and literature.
