The company is focused on affluent, high-net-worth individual (HNI) and ultra-high-net-worth individual (UHNI) segments, with North India identified as a key growth market. Delhi-NCR accounts for 22.8% of India’s UHNI population, making it an important market for affluent customers and long-term wealth management, the company said in a release.

Godrej Wealth began operations in Mumbai in June 2026 and expanded its presence to Delhi on Thursday. The company plans to enter Pune, Hyderabad and Bengaluru in the current quarter, followed by Chennai, Ahmedabad and Kolkata in the next quarter.

The expansion comes as rising entrepreneurship, greater participation in financial markets and intergenerational wealth transfers reshape India's wealth management landscape.

“Delhi-NCR and the broader northern belt are important wealth markets, where established business families sit alongside a growing generation of entrepreneurs and professionals,” Manish Shah, MD & CEO, Godrej Capital, said at a select media roundtable in Delhi on Thursday.

“As wealth extends across operating businesses, diverse financial assets and multiple generations, the decisions surrounding it are becoming more complex. What affluent families increasingly need is not more products or information, but support in making better wealth decisions,” he added.

Plans to enter asset management industry next year

Shah further revealed that Godrej Wealth plans to enter India’s asset management industry next year as it looks to expand beyond wealth management and build a broader investment platform. The company is preparing its application for a mutual fund licence, with the proposed asset management company (AMC) expected to commence operations within about a year. Godrej Wealth is also working on plans to launch its first private credit fund.

Godrej Wealth follows a people-first, open-architecture approach and combines relationship-led expertise with proprietary intelligence and evaluation frameworks. Its capabilities include “Godrej Signals” and “Godrej Choice”, which are designed to help clients make financial decisions while considering broader family, business, succession and legacy requirements.

“At Godrej Wealth, we see every client as a segment of one. This belief shapes our people-first, open-architecture approach and underpins our proprietary frameworks - Godrej Signals and Godrej Choice,” Kunal Karnani, CEO, Godrej Wealth, said.

The company plans to invest in experienced wealth managers, product and research capabilities, and a technology-led client experience as it expands its footprint.

Godrej Wealth offers affluent and HNI clients access to mutual funds, portfolio management services (PMS), alternative investment funds (AIFs), private credit and bespoke portfolio solutions.

The business is backed by the Godrej Industries Group’s 129-year legacy and aims to combine research-backed insights with a client-focused approach to wealth creation and preservation.
