Cars24 Labs, the artificial intelligence (AI) innovation arm of Cars24, has partnered with the Startup Policy Forum (SPF) to collaborate on AI policy, industry engagement and initiatives aimed at promoting the responsible adoption of AI in India, the companies said on Tuesday.
As part of the partnership, Cars24 Labs will contribute to SPF's AI-focused initiatives through policy discussions, founder engagements, industry dialogues and global immersion programmes. The collaboration will also bring together founders, policymakers, researchers, academia and global technology leaders to exchange ideas and share practical insights from deploying AI at scale.
The announcement comes at a time when India is stepping up efforts to strengthen its AI ecosystem through initiatives such as the IndiaAI Mission, while startups are increasingly engaging with policymakers to help shape regulations around emerging technologies.
Sharing practical AI experience
Cars24 said the partnership reflects its commitment to contributing to India's AI ecosystem beyond building AI-powered products. Through Cars24 Labs, the company aims to share its experience of integrating AI into products used by millions of customers while participating in broader conversations around AI governance and innovation.
"At Cars24, we've always believed that the best way to understand AI is to build with it. Cars24 Labs was created with that mindset, and we've learned a great deal from putting AI into real products used by millions," said Vikram Chopra, co-founder & global CEO, Cars24.
"Partnering with Startup Policy Forum gives us an opportunity to share those learnings, learn from others, and contribute to the conversations that will shape how India builds and adopts AI in the years ahead," he added.
Bridging policy and innovation
Startup Policy Forum, an industry alliance representing more than 75 new-age companies, said the collaboration aligns with its efforts to bridge the gap between India's startup ecosystem and global AI developments.
"Cars24 has been a valued member of SPF, and we've worked closely with them on several policy initiatives that matter to India's new economy. Being among the most AI-forward startups in our country, Cars24 is doing some incredible work on AI adoption and innovation," said Shweta Rajpal Kohli, president and CEO of Startup Policy Forum.
She added that the partnership is aligned with SPF's mission of fostering cross-border collaboration, encouraging AI adoption by Indian companies and supporting the country's emergence as a global AI hub.
