Canva is expanding its workplace productivity push with more than 100 new features across Docs, Presentations, Sheets, Whiteboards and Video, with artificial intelligence playing a growing role in how users analyse data and turn it into finished content.

The September 3 release marks Canva’s 100th Visual Suite feature launch since the beginning of 2026, with the company adding upgrades at a pace of nearly one every other day. More than one billion designs are now created on Canva every month, including nearly 1,000 Docs, 3,000 presentations and 5,000 social media posts every minute.

The latest AI capabilities are most clearly visible in Canva Sheets. The company says its AI tools can analyse data and transform it into polished charts and tables that can then be used across presentations and Docs. This puts AI directly into a workflow that traditionally required separate spreadsheet, analysis and presentation tools.

Canva is also using AI to help users move from creating a presentation to delivering it. New presentation features include automatically generated presenter notes, which turn a completed deck into ready-to-use talking points. Other additions include an estimated presenting timer and one-click presenting.

Canva’s AI strategy targets the full workplace workflow

The broader strategy is to make Canva a single platform for projects rather than a collection of separate design products. A project can begin on a Whiteboard, become a brief in Docs, draw insights from Sheets and evolve into a Presentation, with teams working within the same Visual Suite.

That shift is already visible in Canva’s usage. Docs, launched less than four years ago, is now the company’s third-most popular design type, with nearly 1,000 documents created every minute. Docs adoption has more than tripled over the past three years, while Presentations has become Canva’s fastest-growing design type, with nearly 3,000 created every minute.

More than 250 million multi-format designs have been created since Canva introduced its new format last year, showing that users are increasingly using the platform across different stages of a project rather than for individual designs alone.

Enterprise adoption is also accelerating. More than 98% of Fortune 500 companies now run work on Canva, while enterprise adoption has more than doubled year over year, according to the company.

Cameron Adams, Canva co-founder and chief product officer, said, “When we launched the Visual Suite, we were planting the seeds for a very different way of working, and a few years later those seeds have grown into a mighty forest.”

“Today marks our 100th new feature launch this year alone, a pace of nearly one Visual Suite upgrade every other day. As we often say, we still feel like we’re only 1% of the way there, and we’re just getting started,” Adams said.

Canva is also expanding beyond conventional visual communication. Nearly one million websites are now published through the platform every month, while Canva Code has been used to create more than six million coded websites to date.

Canva's bet on India as a market

India is a key mobile-use market for Canva. More than 70% of users in India create on their mobile phones, the highest share of Visual Suite mobile usage across South Asia. Globally, more than half of Visual Suite users work on mobile, with mobile adoption of Canva Websites growing fastest.

Canva says its platform combines its productivity and visual communication tools with proprietary AI research to enable structured, scalable visual communication. The latest release takes that approach further by bringing AI into data analysis, presentation preparation and workflows connecting documents, spreadsheets and presentations.
