Motorola Edge 70 Neo India launch confirmed: Here are expected features, and specifications

Motorola has confirmed that the Motorola Edge 70 Neo will launch in India in the coming months, adding another smartphone to the company’s Edge lineup in the country. The confirmation comes as part of Motorola’s IFA 2026 announcement, where the company unveiled the Edge 70 Plus, Moto Watch Ultra and Moto Snap Wireless Charger.
While Motorola has confirmed the India launch of the Edge 70 Neo, it has not yet revealed the smartphone’s launch date, price or specifications. The company’s official announcement only states that the handset will “roll out in India over the coming months.”
The Edge 70 Neo is expected to sit in Motorola’s mid-range portfolio and follow the company’s established Neo-series strategy of combining a relatively compact form factor with premium features. The phone is also expected to compete in a segment where compact Android smartphones remain relatively limited.
Motorola’s announcement comes shortly after reports around the Edge 70 Neo began gathering pace, including leaks pointing to its design and specifications. The company has not confirmed those details yet.
Motorola Edge 70 Neo: Expected specifications and features
According to current reports, the Motorola Edge 70 Neo could feature a 6.3-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. This would make it smaller than many mainstream Android smartphones and align with the Neo series’ focus on a more compact design.
The smartphone is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7450 chipset, which would place it in the mid-range performance segment. The processor is tipped to support everyday multitasking, gaming and other demanding smartphone workloads.
Camera hardware could be one of the key selling points. The Edge 70 Neo is expected to feature a triple-camera setup comprising a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. A 50MP front camera is also tipped for selfies and video calls.
The expected camera configuration would represent an upgrade over the previous-generation Edge 60 Neo, particularly with the reported move to a 50MP ultra-wide camera from the 13MP sensor used on its predecessor.
The Edge 70 Neo is also tipped to pack a 5,000mAh or larger battery, with support for 68W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. Reports further suggest that the smartphone could carry IP68 and IP69 ratings for protection against dust and water.
These specifications remain unconfirmed by Motorola and should therefore be treated as expected features rather than final specifications.
Motorola’s latest IFA announcement puts greater emphasis on the broader Edge portfolio’s design, cameras, durability and AI capabilities. The company described its new products as being built around “meaningful specs” and “head-turning designs”, while positioning the Edge 70 Plus around performance, power and personal style.
