Powered by the strength and scale of the IHG system, voco offers owners the chance to access the upscale segment quickly. “Since the launch, the brand has seen phenomenal success in the country with 4 additional signings in 2023 across key leisure & business destinations such as Jim Corbett, Mumbai, Amritsar and Goa, allowing IHG to further diversify its portfolio to meet evolving guest preferences across the country,” the release notes.

The company claimed that in 2023, occupancy rates across IHG hotels exceeded pre-pandemic levels by a significant margin. Additionally, revenue per available room (RevPAR) saw a substantial rise of over 30% compared to both 2019 and 2022. This was attributed to the resurgence of travel, increased business activity, and a rise in conferences, particularly in major cities like Delhi and Mumbai.
