Le Travenues Technology, which operates ixigo, reported a 22% year-on-year increase in GTV to ₹5,304.47 crore in the second quarter of FY27.

Travel booking platform ixigo reported an all-time high profit after tax (PAT) of ₹63.42 crore in the September quarter of FY27, aided by the partial sale of its stake in bus operator Freshbus, even as its adjusted EBITDA declined 17% year on year. The company’s hotels business emerged as a key growth driver, with gross transaction value (GTV) rising 159% year on year and revenue growing more than sixfold.
Le Travenues Technology, which operates ixigo, reported a 22% year-on-year increase in GTV to ₹5,304.47 crore in the second quarter of FY27. Revenue from operations rose 13% to ₹320.96 crore, while contribution margin increased 14% to ₹124.86 crore.
However, adjusted EBITDA, which the company calculates as EBITDA plus employee stock option (ESOP) expenses less other income, fell 17% to ₹23.58 crore from ₹28.48 crore in the year-ago quarter. Profit before share of loss of an associate, exceptional items and tax stood at ₹33.53 crore, up from ₹24.44 crore in Q2 FY26, representing 37% growth after excluding ₹26.9 crore in ESOP expenses in the year-ago period, according to the company.
The company’s net profit hit ₹63.42 crore in the second quarter, aided by a partial sale of its stake in bus operator Freshbus.
This is the first quarter that ixigo, operated by Le Travenues Technology, has disclosed hotels as a separate business segment. Revenue from the hotel business jumped 528% year on year to ₹8.1 crore, while room nights booked, net of cancellations, rose 295% to over 4.7 lakh during the quarter. The business also crossed 5,000 room nights a day, registering 3.9 times growth from a year earlier.
Ixigo’s hotel inventory exceeded 70,000 properties across India, including more than 12,000 directly contracted properties spread across 1,100 towns. More than 86% of bookings came from its existing users, while the business recorded a gross take rate of over 12%.
The company said it continued to invest in hotel supply, products and customer experience, with signs of emerging product-market fit. The segment’s growth offers ixigo an opportunity to expand beyond its established presence in train, flight and bus bookings.
Flights and buses also delivered strong growth during the quarter, with GTV increasing 37% and 32% year on year, respectively. Ixigo expanded its distribution by enabling train bookings on Uber, alongside its existing bus-booking integration. Food delivery services through Zoop and Swiggy were available at more than 290 railway stations.
The company said higher airfares and limited availability of confirmed train tickets continued to support demand for intercity bus travel. Its bus platform AbhiBus also introduced Women Zone, a booking option for solo women travellers.
“In Q2 FY27, we delivered resilient growth with Quarterly GTV of ₹5,304 crore, up 22% YoY, and Revenue from Operations of ₹321 crore, up 13% YoY. Our PAT was an all-time high aided by our partial sale of stake in Freshbus,” said Aloke Bajpai, Group CEO, Rajnish Kumar, group co-CEO, and Saurabh Devendra Singh, group CFO in a joint statement.
The management said hotels and artificial intelligence would remain key areas of investment for long-term growth. Ixigo, launched in 2007, reported 57 crore annual active users in fiscal 2026 across its travel platforms, including ixigo, ConfirmTkt and AbhiBus.
