The Indian benchmark indices, the BSE Sensex and the NSE Nifty, are set to open higher on Wednesday, tracking firm cues from global peers. At 8:05 AM, GIFT Nifty futures were trading 94.5 points, or 0.38%, higher at 24,730, indicating a positive start for the Indian share market.

On Tuesday, the 30-share Sensex tumbled 1,281.68 points, or 1.5%, to close at 81,148.22 levels, and the Nifty50 settled at 24,578.35, down by 346.35 points, or 1.39%. However, the broader markets showed resilience and ended in positive terrain, with the BSE Midcap closing 0.17% higher and the BSE Smallcap climbed 0.99%.

Q4 results: Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Eicher Motors, Tata Power, Jubilant FoodWorks, Lupin, Muthoot Finance, Torrent Power, Shree Cements, Hitachi Energy India, Berger Paints India, Apollo Tyres, Piramal Pharma, Brigade Enterprises are set to release their earnings reports today.

Among others, Apar Industries, JB Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals, Aditya Birla Real Estate, Sagility India, BASF India, LMW, Asahi India Glass, V-Guard Industries, Ganesh Housing Corporation, Garware Hi-Tech Films, Edelweiss Financial Services, KPI Green Energy, Karnataka Bank, Sheela Foam, and Balu Forge Industries, Akzo Nobel India, Kirloskar Brothers, Sanofi India, Blue Jet Healthcare, eClerx Services, RITES, Westlife Foodworld, Kirloskar Oil Engines, Graphite India, and Transport Corporation of India will also declare their March quarter results today.

Tata Steel: The steel major has proposed capital expenditure of ₹15,000 for its operations in India, the UK, and the Netherlands for the current financial year.

Aditya Birla Capital: The Aditya Birla group company registered a net profit of ₹654 crore for Q4 FY25, while its net interest income stood at ₹1,800 crore.

Metropolis Healthcare: The net profit of the company dropped 19.4% YoY to ₹29 crore, while revenue rose 4.3% to ₹345.3 crore as compared to same period last year.

VIP Industries: The company reported wider net loss of ₹27.4 crore versus ₹23.9 crore in Q4 FY24. Revenue declined 4.3% YoY to ₹494 crore.
