Be tough on people not disciplined: Bharat Biotech's Suchitra Ella
Suchitra Ella—an economics graduate—has quietly worked behind the scenes ever since the start of Bharat Biotech International Limited in 1996. From sourcing land, getting the telephone and electricity connections, to writing letters to the Ministry of Science and Technology, she has done it all. And she continued to be the company’s go-to person during the production of its indigenously developed Covid-19 vaccine, Covaxin. “Almost on a daily basis I was engaging with the Ministry of Health, Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Environment, Niti Aayog,” says Ella.
