Corruption, dent on India's economic stature legacy of Congress: Anurag Singh Thakur
Ahead of the tabling of the White Paper on the Indian economy by the government, information and broadcasting minister Anurag Singh Thakur came down heavily on the Congress party. Thakur said White Paper will expose the economic instability created by the party till 2014. “Congress’s legacy was tenure full of corruption, compromise of India’s stature. “Congress is frustrated that in the last ten years the flailing economy it left in 2014 has become the world’s fifth largest economy and is going on to become the third largest economy,” Thakur said. Ahead of the tabling of the White Paper on economy today, the Congress party today issued a black paper on the Modi government saying the government has failed on many counts, including employment, devolution of resources to the states, among others.
