Long for when women will not be singled out: HDFC Life's Vibha Padalkar
There is nothing like a man CEO, says Vibha Padalkar, Managing Director and CEO, HDFC Life. She resists the idea of being called a woman CEO. However, she believes that we have to start somewhere. On the personal front, the 53-year old shares how like every other woman, she dealt with the conundrum of managing a young child and work. “You can’t battle all fights all the time. Sometimes you have to take a little back seat and then accelerate when things are no longer an issue, says Padalkar. She further advises young women to create a ‘brownie bank’ when they are still single and can focus on work more than anything else. Padalkar is fond of running and swimming. She likes to binge-watch on OTT platforms as well. “I liked Family Man and especially as my son watched it with me,” says Padalkar.
