Tech savvy Mom inspired Deloitte CEO’s global Covid-19 template
When Oregon-based Deloitte’s global CEO Punit Renjen learnt that his Haryana-based 81-year-old mother is using WhatsApp to communicate with her doctor, he exhorted the global consultancy firm to try it in a much bigger way to get healthcare to homes in rural and hard to reach communities to mitigate the risks of Covid-19 pandemic. The result: A Covid-19 playbook that incorporates the learnings from India, South Africa, South East Asia that can be handy for governments across the world to provide effective homecare during future outbreaks.
