Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani-led group's Haifa port in Israel has not been damaged due to the ballistic missile attack launched by Iran following Israel's wide-scale attack on various Iranian nuclear facilities and other key targets, according to news agency PTI. Iran's firing of missiles on Israel's Haifa port and a nearby oil refinery led to shrapnel falling in the port's chemical terminal and projectiles dropping at the oil refinery, but no injuries have been reported from the site so far. "Adani's port, however, was not impacted by the strike."

Additionally, cargo operations at the Adani-operated port continue to work smoothly. The Adani Group is yet to issue an official statement on the matter.

Israel’s largest and most vital seaport on the Mediterranean coast, Haifa Port, contributes less than 2% of the volume handled by Adani Ports and SEZ. It is operated by a consortium led by APSEZ (70% stake) and Israel’s Gadot Group. Adani Ports had acquired the asset in January 2023 as part of Israel’s port privatisation push, marking a high-profile entry into the Mediterranean shipping and logistics corridor. The group paid nearly 4 billion shekels ($1.15 billion) for the deal and has since been working to scale operations.

The port is a jewel in Adani’s growing international port portfolio as it provides a critical gateway to the Europe-Asia trade route via the Suez Canal and plays a key role in the proposed India-Middle East-Europe Corridor (IMEC). The port handled over 10.6 million metric tonnes (MMT) of cargo in FY25 and has deep linkages with Israel’s railway and energy infrastructure, amplifying concerns following the latest strike.

On June 13, 2025, Israel launched a large-scale attack on Iran's nuclear, missile, and military infrastructure. Amid an intense conflict between Israel and Iran, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi has informed the United Nations Security Council that Israel’s recent airstrike on Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility has caused radiological and chemical contamination inside the facilities, though the type of radiation present inside the facility, primarily alpha particles, is manageable with "appropriate" radiation protection measures.

Iran has also informed IAEA about attacks on its other facilities: the Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant; and the Esfahan site, where a fuel plate fabrication plant, a fuel manufacturing plant, a uranium conversion facility, and an enriched UO2 powder plant are located.
