Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will address a global gathering of investors at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos as part of his maiden visit to the annual summit, with the aim of securing bulk investment commitments for the state.

According to an official release, Yadav’s address will primarily focus on attracting foreign investment to further strengthen Madhya Pradesh’s tourism sector while also showcasing opportunities across a wide range of industries. The state government is positioning the Davos platform as a key forum to project Madhya Pradesh as a competitive and investment-ready destination.

“We want investment to come to Madhya Pradesh in all sectors, opening job opportunities for youth and making the state economically strong,” the chief minister said. “With the objective of bringing investment into every sector—be it agriculture, organic farming or tourism—I am going to Davos,” he added.

Strong global identity in tourism

Government sources said Madhya Pradesh has built a strong global identity in tourism and intends to leverage this recognition to attract investments in allied sectors such as hospitality, destination development, film tourism and related services. The state has recorded tourist arrivals of over 133 million in recent years, underlining its emergence as one of India’s most sought-after travel destinations.
