RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group Vice Chairman Shashwat Goenka, in his address at the Fortune India Most Powerful Women 2025 Awards, said India’s most powerful women don’t just lead but redefine leadership.
“These are women who lead by thought, setting the intellectual agenda for their industries. They are women who lead by example, walking the talk with integrity, courage and consistency. They are women who lead by action, rolling up their sleeves and driving real change on the ground, in the boardroom and across the nation,” Goenka said.
Time and again, women have shown that leadership is not about command, it’s about conviction, said Goenka. “It’s not about control but about leading with compassion, clarity and collective progress. In every setting, be it corporate, creative or community, women have proven to be the most instinctive, inclusive and impactful leaders,” he said.
Goenka said the same is true across sectors: business, government, science, sports, and arts. “They are shaping the future, breaking barriers and lifting others as they rise,” he said.
“Today, we honour not just their titles or accomplishments but their spirit, their power, their resilience and their unwavering belief in a better tomorrow. Let this not just be a celebration but a call to keep amplifying their voices, their choices, and their leadership,” said Goenka. “When they lead, the world moves forward,” he concluded.
