JCB India targets 15-20% export growth, plans to produce 70,000 units in FY27

JCB India is targeting a 15-20% increase in exports in the current financial year, even as the construction equipment maker plans to raise production to around 70,000 units, Managing Director and CEO Deepak Shetty said on Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2026 in Greater Noida, Shetty said the company exported around 14,000 units last year to markets including developed economies, with the US accounting for a major share. JCB India currently exports its equipment to around 135 countries, including markets across Southeast Asia and Africa.
The company is also looking to grow production by around 15-20% year-on-year to approximately 70,000 units this year, underlining its focus on both domestic demand and exports.
JCB India unveils 10 new machines
At the trade exhibition, JCB India unveiled 10 new products and showcased 21 machines from across its portfolio. The new launches include the 3DX, 3DX Plus and 3DX Super backhoe loaders, which feature upgrades aimed at improving productivity, fuel efficiency and operator comfort.
JCB said the machines have been designed, engineered and manufactured in India to global benchmarks while being adapted to local operating conditions. The company is positioning India as an important manufacturing and export hub for its global operations.
“With fuel costs remaining a key concern for customers, we have further enhanced the fuel efficiency of our Backhoe Loaders within just the last 18 months,” Shetty said. He added that the company has also focused on ergonomics and operator comfort to make machine operation easier and more productive.
According to JCB India, fuel efficiency across its Backhoe Loader range has improved by 21% in recent years. The 3DX is aimed at excavation-focused applications, while the 3DX Plus offers higher shovel capacity and payload. The 3DX Super gets features including standard four-wheel drive and a 6-in-1 shovel.
Focus on technology and wider equipment portfolio
Beyond backhoe loaders, JCB India is showcasing excavators, the new Agrimax agricultural machine, gensets, access platforms and wheel loaders. The company is also demonstrating digital solutions such as JCB LiveLink, Parts Online and a Training Simulator.
LiveLink enables real-time machine monitoring, predictive maintenance and remote diagnostics, helping customers improve fleet visibility and machine uptime.
JCB India operates six manufacturing facilities in the country and has a network of more than 65 dealers and over 700 outlets. Its India-made machines are exported to more than 135 countries. (With inputs from PTI)
