Midcap-IT services firm Mphasis  has appointed Girish Srikrishna Paranjpe as its new board chairperson effective January 7, 2026. Paranjpe takes over the role from Ms. Jan Kathleen Hier, whose term came to an end on December 10, 2025.  He has been on the board of the company since October 01, 2024, as an independent director. On his appointment, in a statement to exchanges, “It is an honour to step into this role, especially at a time when AI is reshaping how we view the future of technology and business. I look forward to collaborating with the Board and Management of Mphasis to drive innovation and create long-term, sustainable value. Together, we have an opportunity to shape what comes next,” said Paranjpe, Chairperson, Mphasis.  

Paranjpe, who started his career as a management consultant in the early 80’s moved to Wipro in 1990 later to become joint CEO of Wipro's IT business and a member of the Board of Directors in 2008. Following a two-decade stint at Wipro, he later left the company to join Bloom Energy in 2011 as the Managing Director of Bloom International. He is also the Co-promoter and General Partner at Exfinity Venture Partners and  an Independent Director on the boards of Axis Bank Limited, CRISIL Limited, Axis Max Life Insurance Company Limited, and Modenik Lifestyle Private Limited.    

Earlier in December 2025, the company appointed banking industry veteran Punit Sood as an independent director, who currently is also on the boards of ICICI Bank and NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India). Sood has worked in various senior roles in organizations such as Citibank, GE Capital, United Technologies, JPMorgan Chase, and NatWest.

Mphasis, which has clocked net new deals of $1Bn in the first half of fiscal 26, remains bullish on the growth on its Banking Financial Services for the second half of the year. During the analysts call in October, Nitin Rakesh , CEO said , “We continue to stay focused on conversion of pipeline to TCV and TCV to revenue and expect growth to be greater than 2x of industry growth on the back of our H1 performance and steady conversion of strong TCV wins to revenue with steady ramp-up of large deals in the ongoing quarters. We will continue to target operating EBIT margin in the stated band of 14.75% to 15.75%”. For Q3FY26, analysts expect the company to post a constant currency sequential revenue growth between 1.3% to 1.5%.
