Vikram Oberoi, Chief Executive Officer – The Oberoi Group, further added, “With Elements by Oberoi, sustainability is seamlessly embedded into the guest journey and in how we engage with people, communities, and the environment. Our commitment is to creating experiences that are both meaningful and mindful.”

As per the key elements of the sustainability framework, the company says its hotels are designed to live in harmony with natural surroundings, from organic farming and waste-to-compost systems to sustainable landscaping and locally sourced ingredients.

To conserve water, the company deploys advanced rainwater harvesting techniques and zero liquid discharge systems for sustainable laundry operations. These practices also support marine conservation and responsible water usage across communities. To reduce its carbon footprint and embrace clean energy, smart systems, and air purification, the company utilises solar- and wind-powered operations, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and automated energy systems.

As part of its 2030 goals, The Oberoi Group aims to: recycle 100% of wastewater and reduce fresh water consumption per occupied room by 20%; source 50% of electricity from renewable energy; transition transport fleets to fully electric vehicles; and phase out fossil fuel-based thermal systems in favor of electric alternatives across all new hotels and while replacing equipment at its existing hotels.
