Reliance Industries Ltd's (RIL) telecom arm Jio Infocomm Ltd has recorded 25.7% growth in its net profit for the January-March quarter (Q4) of FY2025 to ₹7,022 crore, beating estimates. The company's consolidated profit in the year-ago period stood at ₹5,587 crore.
Jio's revenue stood at ₹33,986 crore compared to ₹28,871 crore in the year-ago period, up 17.7% YoY. The company says its operating revenue growth was driven by the impact of tariff revisions for mobility services and growth in homes and digital services businesses.
Reliance Industries -led telco's EBITDA grew 18.5% YoY to ₹17,016 crore; the EBITDA margin came in at 50.1% on healthy revenue growth and margin improvement.
As of March 31, 2025, Reliance Jio's subscriber base grew to 488.2 million vs 481.8 million in the year-ago period, up 1.3%. This includes 191 million True 5G subscribers.

Reliance Jio's ARPU (average revenue per user) increased further to ₹206.2 in the said quarter, compared to ₹181.7 in the year-ago period, an improvement due to the flow-through of the tariff hike.
The results announced by the telco surpassed analyst estimates, which pegged Reliance Jio's Q4 FY25 revenue surge at 15.1% YoY to ₹29,900 crore, while the profit growth to ₹6,500 crore, up 21.4% YoY.
In Q3 FY2024- 25, Reliance Jio's subscriber base stood at 482.1 million as of December 2024, up 2.4% YoY. Its net subscriber addition in Q3 FY25 stood at 3.3 million, with a rebound in mobility subscriber addition.
In terms of 5G, RIL said Reliance Jio remains the world's leading standalone 5G operator (outside China).
