Adani Power Limited (APL) is India’s largest private thermal power producer and a subsidiary of the Adani Group, founded in 1988 by Gautam Adani. The company was established on August 22, 1996. APL is headquartered in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and is led by Director Rajesh Adani.With a total power generation capacity of 15,250 MW, APL operates thermal power plants across Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and JharkhandThe company also has a 40 MW solar power project in Gujarat. APL is recognized globally for its innovation, being the world’s first to set up a coal-based supercritical thermal power project registered under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) of the Kyoto Protocol.
