APAR Industries was originally called Power Cables Private Limited when it was founded by Dharamsinh D. Desai in 1958. What began as a power transmission conductor manufacturing enterprise has diversified into the production and supply of cables, polymers, oils, and lubricants in over 140 countries. The company has a production capacity of 400,000 kl of specialty oils in India and 120,000 kl in the UAE. Its range of oil includes white oils, transformer oils, process oils, and petroleum jelly. Additionally, it provides cables and telecom solutions, which include fibre optic cables, LAN cables, specialty cables, and hybrid cables. Its specialty automotive division supplies batteries, lubricants, and vehicle care services to its customers as well. APAR is currently headquartered in Mumbai with multiple regional international offices in countries like UAE, Singapore, and Canada.
