About

Bayer CropScience works with 30 million farmers across India to ensure crop protection. The company has been in India for over 125 years with a focus on providing seeds and traits, along with biological and digital farming. Bayer’s target crops in India include corn, rice, cotton, and fruits and vegetables. Through its partnership with Netafirm, Yara, DeHaat, Big Bazaar, and Agri Bazaar under the Better Life Farming Alliance, Bayer has introduced an agri-entrepreneurship model in India. One of its rural micro-entrepreneurship models, Sahbhaagi, is aimed at empowering women, farmers, and rural youth to advise smallholder farmers across the country. Bayer’s Food Chain Partnership provides a platform for farmers, processors, exporters, and retailers to sustainably meet consumer demand for high-quality, healthy, and affordable food.
