About
Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), established on July 16, 1970, is a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, headquartered in Hyderabad, Telangana. BDL was set up as the manufacturing base for guided missile systems and allied equipment for the Indian Armed Forces and has since collaborated with DRDO and foreign Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to develop advanced defense technologies.BDL operates four manufacturing units, with three in Telangana (Hyderabad, Bhanur, and Ibrahimpatnam) and one in Andhra Pradesh (Visakhapatnam). To meet the growing demands of the Indian Armed Forces, the company is expanding with a new facility in Amravati, Maharashtra.
