Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) is a Navratna Government of India enterprise under the administrative control of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). IREDA was established in 1987 as a Non-Banking Financial Institution (NBFI), and is dedicated to promoting, developing, and providing financial assistance for projects related to renewable energy and energy efficiency. The agency operates under the motto: “ENERGY FOR EVER.”Owned 75% by the Government of India (GoI), IREDA operates in the sectors of wind, hydro, solar, and waste-to-energy projects across the country. Headquartered in New Delhi, the agency is led by Shri Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman and Managing Director.
