Rajni Bector’s ice creams, cakes, cookies, buns, and puddings were popular in Punjab since the 80s. Her husband, Dharamvir Bector, helped her set up a backyard kitchen to produce and sell her baked goods under the formal name of Mrs. Bector’s Food Specialities Limited. Today, this company has grown to become a leading burger bun supplier to Indian restaurants. Cremica, a Bector brand known for its cream-filled biscuits like Bourbon and crackers, is the largest supplier to the Canteen Stores Department (CSD) of the government of India. English Oven, a premium bakery brand by Bector Foods, provides both sweet and savoury Indian and gourmet baked goods. With the help of multiple manufacturing units spread over the country, the company can produce 1.2 million buns every day and serve over 550,000 outlets in 23 states.
