Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce that the Adani Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Adani Group, is collaborating with GEMS Education Group to launch an initial network of 20 K-12 schools.
Backed by a ₹2,000 crore donation from the Adani family, this partnership aims to make world-class education more accessible to all. “The Foundation is the CSR arm of the Adani Group – India’s largest infrastructure portfolio.”
The first ‘Adani GEMS School of Excellence’ will debut in Lucknow in the 2025-26 academic year. In the next three years, at least 20 more K-12 ‘Adani GEMS Schools of Excellence’ will be established across India’s major metros, with plans to expand into Tier II to IV cities. These schools aim to spread world-class education far and wide, offering 30% of seats in the CBSE curriculum for underserved and deserving children, in an effort to make quality learning accessible to all.
“Leveraging the Adani Group’s pan-Indian presence and extensive infrastructure capabilities, along with GEMS’ educational expertise, the partnership plans to develop a scalable, affordable, and sustainable model for quality education for students across India,” the company said.

Together, we will build world-class Adani GEMS Schools of Excellence across India, making quality education affordable and accessible to all. In these schools, 30% of seats in the CBSE curriculum will be free for underprivileged children. The first school opens in Lucknow in 2025-26, with 20 schools planned in 3 years. Together, we will help to shape the future – one student at a time!”
Speaking on the collaboration with GEMS Education, Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, noted, “By adopting global best practices and innovative digital learning through our partnership with GEMS Education, we aim to equip the next generation of change-makers to become socially responsible leaders in India.”
