Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today said India will emerge as a global giant after the ongoing West Asia crisis. Naidu urged the industry and the people of the country to adhere to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to the nation.
Naidu said PM Modi has given seven to eight points on how to navigate the West Asia crisis. “We all should take it as a national mission. It is not only the Prime Minister’s task. It is a task for all of us. I am confident and we have to take it up in a big way,” Naidu said while addressing the CII Annual Business Summit in New Delhi today.
“Crisis is a challenge. Every challenge will generate opportunity. After this crisis, I am confident that India will become unstoppable. It will emerge as a global giant. This moment can accelerate India’s transition towards sustainable growth and energy independence. India must aggressively scale renewable energy, green hydrogen, biogas, ethanol blending, EV mobility and decentralised energy systems,” Naidu said.
He said Andhra Pradesh is promoting the concept of “prosumer” concept. “Every individual is a producer and also a consumer in Andhra Pradesh. From my rooftop, I can generate power. I can use it or give it back to the grid,” he said, adding that the state is establishing micro grid system so that one does not face transmission losses.
Naidu said the state is also pursuing natural farming in a big way. “Twenty lakh acres of land is under natural farming in Andhra Pradesh. We are increasing certification. The future belongs to societies where government, industry and academia innovate together,” he said.
Naidu said Indian economy is growing very fast and will become the second largest economy by 2038 and by 2047, I am confident that India will become the number one economy in the world.
He said India stands at a historic inflection point similar to the era of 1990s. “The transformation will be driven by AI, quantum computing, semi-conductor, clean energy and advance manufacturing and logistics. Countries which will be able to integrate technology, talent, energy security and the manufacturing ecosystem will define the next global economic order,” said Naidu, adding that PM Modi is right leader at the right time at the right place.
