With multinational corporations and homegrown firms contributing equally to tech services revenue, NASSCOM Chairperson Sindhu Gangadharan told Fortune India that the real game-changer isn’t competition but collaboration, which she sees as the keyword for the future.
Gangadharan observed that true success in the tech industry will come from collaboration rather than isolated efforts. “Sometimes we try to focus on individual pillars, but real success happens when we put the customer at the centre,” she said.
She explained that the industry has found the right balance between fostering innovation and ensuring sustainable growth.
Gangadharan further highlighted a shift in focus from traditional metrics like revenue per employee to the qualities that truly drive innovation. She emphasised that hiring today isn’t just about filling roles—it’s about mindset. Companies, she noted, are seeking individuals with sharp problem-solving abilities, a knack for data analysis, and the insight to apply information in the right context.
