Ashwini Bhide, a 1995-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, currently serves as the Principal Secretary to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, a position she has held since December 2024. Concurrently, she continues as the Managing Director of Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (MMRCL), a role she resumed in July 2022 after previously leading the organisation from 2015 to 2020. Bhide has played a pivotal role in advancing Mumbai's urban infrastructure, notably overseeing the implementation of the Mumbai Metro Line 3 (Colaba-Bandra-Seepz). Her prior assignments include serving as Additional Municipal Commissioner of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and Secretary of the School Education Department.
