Ritu Arora, Country Head of India for Allianz Services, is responsible for advancing the company’s long-term growth ambitions for India, both as an investor and operator, aligned with the country’s vision of “Insurance for All by 2047”. Prior to this, she was the CEO & CIO of Allianz Investment Management, Asia-Pacific, overseeing investments across 12 countries and 21 operating entities, with assets under management of approximately $50 billion. Under her leadership, Allianz significantly deepened its investment footprint in Indian public markets and diversified private asset classes. Arora also played an instrumental role in the recent announcement that Allianz and Jio Financial Services Limited have entered into a binding agreement to form a reinsurance joint venture and will consider joint general, health and life insurance opportunities in India, subject to legal and regulatory approvals. As India Advisor to the Allianz SE Board, she has been instrumental in redefining the Group’s India strategy. Globally, she contributed to Allianz’s ~$700 billion investment strategy as a member of the Investment Management Board. Prior to joining Allianz, Ritu held leadership roles at several leading financial institutions and has been associated with India's insurance industry since its deregulation in 2003.
