Motilal Oswal Asset Management Company (MOAMC) has crossed the ₹2 lakh crore assets under management (AUM) milestone across its mutual fund, alternative investment fund (AIF) and portfolio management services (PMS) businesses, the company said on Monday.

The total AUM stood above ₹2 lakh crore as of August 7, 2026, marking a significant milestone for the asset manager, which has a predominantly equity-focused investment platform.

MOAMC's investment strategy is anchored in its Quality, Growth, Longevity and Price (QGLP) philosophy, with a focus on identifying businesses with strong earnings growth potential and applying disciplined risk management. "Crossing the ₹2 lakh crore AUM milestone is a significant moment in our journey. It echoes the trust our investors, partners and stakeholders have placed in us," Prateek Agrawal, MD & CEO, Motilal Oswal Asset Management Company, said.

He said the company would continue to focus on high-growth, earnings-oriented portfolios while expanding its product offerings across active and passive strategies through its mutual fund, PMS, and AIF platforms.

During FY26, Motilal Oswal AMC expanded its product portfolio by launching 18 passive mutual funds and five active mutual funds. The company strengthened its passive investment offerings across Indian and international equities, factor-based strategies, sectoral funds, commodities, multi-asset solutions, and debt.

The expanded product suite is aimed at catering to a wider investor base, including those relatively new to equity investing and investors with lower risk appetite.

The asset manager added around 56.08 lakh systematic investment plans (SIPs) during FY26 and recorded an all-time high SIP inflow of ₹16,479 crore. It also reported growth in gross sales and lower redemptions during the year. The company said the evolution of its investment process, with greater emphasis on consistency alongside returns, has also contributed to its investment approach.

The milestone comes as India's mutual fund industry continues to benefit from rising retail participation, financialisation of household savings, and sustained SIP flows despite periods of market volatility.

Motilal Oswal AMC said increasing SIP penetration, growing investor participation beyond the top cities, rising digital adoption, and higher participation by domestic institutional investors (DIIs) could support the industry's long-term growth.

With operations spanning mutual funds, PMS and AIFs, the company said it intends to further expand its product offerings and investment solutions as investor participation deepens across the country.
