Apple’s iPhone 16e is here. The latest and newest offering from the tech giant has been officially launched in India, marking a shift from the discontinued SE series.
iPhone 16e, which is designed to offer an experience closer to the flagship iPhone 16, brings notable upgrades but at a higher price than its SE predecessors. While Apple positions it as an “affordable” iPhone, the price may not feel budget-friendly to many.
The iPhone 16e starts at ₹59,900 for the 128GB variant, ₹69,900 for the 256GB model, and ₹89,900 for the 512GB version. It is now available for purchase on Amazon, Flipkart, Reliance Digital, Vijay Sales, and other major retailers.
Apple has launched it in just two colours—black and white, as of now.
iPhone 16e discounts in India
While there are no direct price cuts, bank offers help bring down the cost.
Buyers using ICICI, Kotak, HDFC, or SBI credit cards can avail of an instant ₹4,000 discount, reducing the price of the base variant to ₹55,900. Exchange offers on select platforms can further lower the cost.
On Amazon, the iPhone 16e can be purchased at an even lower effective price. The base model is listed at ₹59,900, but using an ICICI Bank credit card, an instant ₹4,000 discount can be availed, making it ₹55,900. Those opting for the Amazon Pay ICICI credit card will also get an additional ₹2,500 discount at checkout, along with ₹2,870 as cashback in Amazon Pay Balance after the billing cycle.
This results in total savings of ₹5,370, bringing the net effective price down to ₹54,530, currently the lowest online price for the iPhone 16e in India.
iPhone 16e specs, features, more
Apple has equipped the iPhone 16e with a 6.1-inch OLED display featuring a notch that houses the Face ID system for secure authentication. It introduces the Action button, replacing the traditional mute switch, allowing users to quickly access functions such as launching the camera or enabling Do Not Disturb. Unlike the older SE series, the iPhone 16e comes with a USB-C charging port, aligning with Apple’s recent shift toward universal compatibility.
For those who have been eyeing the iPhone 16e, this could be the best time to buy it with early launch discounts.
Further price drops may be expected in upcoming festive sales.
