Apple launches iPad Air with M3 chip; check specs, price, India availability

Apple has given the iPad Air a major upgrade, launching it with the M3 chip and gearing it up for Apple Intelligence. With an enhanced graphics architecture debuting on the iPad Air, this device reaches a whole new level.

The new iPad Air with M3 is nearly twice as fast as the M1-powered iPad Air and offers a 3.5x performance boost over the A14 Bionic. “Users will feel the speed of M3 in everything they do, from creating engaging content faster than ever to playing demanding, graphics-intensive games,” Apple stated.

The latest iPad Air comes in two sizes—11-inch and 13-inch—priced at ₹59,900 and ₹79,900, respectively. Students get a special deal, with education pricing starting at ₹54,900 for the 11-inch model and ₹74,900 for the 13-inch variant. Pre-orders for the M3-powered iPad Air and Magic Keyboard begin today, with deliveries starting Wednesday, March 12.

The Magic Keyboard attaches magnetically, while the Smart Connector instantly connects power and data without requiring Bluetooth. Priced at ₹26,900 for the 11-inch model and ₹29,900 for the 13-inch version, the Magic Keyboard for iPad Air features the signature floating design and is now available in white.

The M3 chip takes the iPad Air to the next level, delivering a 60% speed boost over M1 for AI-powered tasks. “The faster Neural Engine in M3 means iPad Air users can enjoy even more AI capabilities in iPadOS. Compared to M1, the Neural Engine in M3 is up to 60% faster for AI-based workloads.
