Apple ramps up India retail push with hiring for 4 new Apple Stores

Apple is ramping up its retail expansion in India, hiring for upcoming stores across Delhi-NCR, Pune, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. CEO Tim Cook previously confirmed plans for four new locations as the company strengthens its presence in the country.

A LinkedIn post by Apple Store leader John Taffe highlights the company's push to strengthen its presence in these key cities.

Taffe announced in the post that the company is hiring for its upcoming stores in India. He described Apple’s expansion in the country as "remarkable" and called for passionate, talented individuals to join the team and drive the success of these new locations.

Apple's job portal lists 20+ new openings in India since March, nearly half in retail, across "various locations."

Apple's planned retail expansion in India appears imminent, with hiring underway for new stores in Pune, Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.

Apple launched its first retail stores in India in 2023, with Apple BKC in Mumbai and Apple Saket in Delhi, both drawing massive crowds, especially during iPhone launch events. CEO Tim Cook confirmed further expansion last year, and with hiring underway, the opening of four new stores now seems imminent.

India has become a key market for Apple, especially after a record-breaking sales quarter in 2025. The upcoming stores in Delhi NCR, Pune, Mumbai, and Bengaluru will enhance customer access to the Apple experience, offering a premium retail environment and community-driven initiatives.

Alongside its retail expansion, Apple is strengthening its manufacturing footprint in India. The company now produces the entire iPhone 16 lineup domestically, from the entry-level iPhone 16e to the premium Pro and Pro Max models. This move aligns with Apple's "Make in India" initiative, launched in 2017.
