Bosch Software and Digital Solutions (Bosch SDS) and Dassault Systèmes have joined forces to accelerate AI-led manufacturing transformation in India, with the companies already deploying their combined capabilities at a leading electric vehicle manufacturer in the country. The collaboration will focus on connecting product engineering, manufacturing operations and industrial value chains through artificial intelligence, digital technologies and real-time operational intelligence.
The partnership brings together Dassault Systèmes’ capabilities in Virtual Twin Experiences, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Digital Manufacturing and Manufacturing Operations Management with Bosch SDS’ expertise in contextualised data products, energy optimisation, IT/OT integration and machine-level intelligence. The companies said the first joint engagement with an EV manufacturer is using Dassault Systèmes’ DELMIA Apriso Manufacturing Execution System (MES) platform alongside Bosch SDS’ manufacturing transformation capabilities to improve production efficiency, quality and digital traceability.
AI, digital thread at core of manufacturing push
The collaboration will span Industrial AI and Agentic AI orchestration, Digital Thread, contextualised data products, energy management, smart factories, IT/OT convergence and Digital Product Passports (DPPs). Bosch SDS said its Cognitive Factory platform will play a role in AI-enabled manufacturing transformation, while the companies will jointly work on connecting engineering, manufacturing and lifecycle operations.
The companies are targeting a broad manufacturing base, including automotive, electronics, batteries, semiconductors, industrial machinery and consumer durables, with the collaboration also expected to extend into heavy engineering and process industries. Bosch SDS will work with Dassault Systèmes as a consulting and system-integration partner, developing solutions for end-to-end AI, Digital Thread and AI-enabled Digital Product Passports.
Bosch India clocks Rs 40,253 crore revenue
The collaboration comes as manufacturers increasingly seek to integrate engineering data, shop-floor operations and AI rather than pursue standalone digitisation projects. Dassault Systèmes said its 3DEXPERIENCE platform serves 390,000 customers across industries, with AI-powered, science-based virtual twins forming a key part of its offering.
For Bosch, India is already a significant technology and engineering base. Bosch India, excluding BSH Home Appliances, reported net revenue of Rs 40,253 crore in FY26, while its workforce stood at 37,131 associates as of March 31, 2026.
