Microsoft Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella today announced strategic partnerships with four leading IT companies — Cognizant, Infosys, TCS and Wipro to accelerate the adoption of agentic AI. Each of these companies will deploy over 50,000 Microsoft Copilot licenses, collectively surpassing 200,000 licenses, and setting a new benchmark for enterprise-scale AI adoption. This comes a day after Microsoft announced its plans to invest US$17.5 billion in cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure, skilling and ongoing operations in the country over four years (CY2026-2029).
This collaboration is said to enable enterprises to enhance productivity, efficiency, and accessibility while driving AI-powered innovation across industries. “By embedding AI into core operations, these organizations are becoming Frontier Firms,” Microsoft said in a statement.

Cognizant: The company and Microsoft today announced an expanded partnership with the goal of making Microsoft’s generative AI and Copilots available to millions of users, to enterprise business operations, enhance employee experiences and cross-industry innovation. As “client zero” for Copilot, Cognizant has been able to refine Copilot and agentic solutions to drive value and enterprise-scale innovation for its clients – going beyond productivity gains and helping organizations fundamentally rewire how they access data, make decisions, and scale innovation.

TCS: TCS is partnering with Microsoft to transform Sales, Human Resources, and Finance functions through AI. Tools like M365 Copilot and GitHub Copilot is helping internal technology and operations teams autogenerate code and digitize processes. All TCS employees now have a personalized AI Coach, and Microsoft was a key partner in the recent global hackathon involving over 281,000 participants.

Wipro: The company is in a three-year strategic partnership with Microsoft, launching the Microsoft Innovation Hub at Wipro’s Partner Labs in Bengaluru. Over 50,000 Copilot licenses have been deployed and more than 25,000 employees are being upskilled in Microsoft Cloud and GitHub technologies.
