Last year, one of the firm’s popular web shows, Little Things, was picked up as a Netflix original. the company says has grown 10 times over the past year, with more than half a billion views a month. Its e-sports platform, Loco, has seen 17 million downloads.

Suresh talks about being on the Fortune India 40 Under 40 list, and his first business pitch.

Excerpts:

How did you make a pitch to your first investor?

Traditional media and entertainment has not catered to young Indians in a long time. We felt the need to create relevant stories, local stories that appeal to young Indians, and we presented this vision to our first investor. The vision resonated with him and he believed that we were the perfect team to execute this given the education and experience that we came with. Since then we have executed this vision and our investor has been a true partner in our growth, he has been an incredible support system. It has been a great ride so far.
