His way
S. Ramadorai’s favourite phrase is very likely ‘the TCS way’. He manages to slip it in almost every time he speaks in public. His book really ought to have been called The TCS Way. As he chronicles the journey of India’s biggest tech company, he also tells the story of his life with TCS—from assistant systems programmer earning Rs 1,000 a month in 1972, to CEO when he retired in 2009. And he finds time, along the way, to talk of everything from technology to physics, economics, politics, history, and philosophy.
