Partnership to jointly evaluate next-generation solutions in automotive systems, defence platforms and AI server infrastructure

Bharat Forge has signed a memorandum of understanding with VVDN Technologies to explore a strategic collaboration across automotive, defence and AI-led data centre segments, the companies said on Wednesday.
The agreement, signed in Pune, outlines a framework for jointly pursuing opportunities in next-generation technologies spanning automotive systems, defence platforms and AI server infrastructure.
Under the MoU, the companies plan to evaluate joint development of products for automotive and defence applications, as well as AI server platforms. The collaboration will combine VVDN’s capabilities in electronics design, embedded software, system integration and manufacturing with Bharat Forge’s expertise in precision engineering and advanced manufacturing.
The move comes amid rising investments in AI infrastructure, autonomous systems and high-performance computing, areas that are driving demand for specialised hardware and integrated solutions.
Industry executives said the partnership is aimed at building scalable solutions aligned with evolving industry requirements rather than forming an immediate equity joint venture.
Amit Kalyani, Vice Chairman and Joint Managing Director of Bharat Forge, said the partnership would help the company “leverage advanced technologies and accelerate innovation,” adding that such alliances are integral to remaining competitive in emerging sectors.
Puneet Agarwal, Chief Executive Officer of VVDN Technologies, said the collaboration aligns with the company’s focus on advanced engineering and digital technologies. “By combining our product engineering and manufacturing strengths with Bharat Forge’s domain leadership, we aim to accelerate development across automotive, defence and data centre ecosystems,” he said.
Bharat Forge, part of the Kalyani Group, is one of the world’s largest forging companies with a presence in automotive and defence manufacturing. VVDN Technologies, headquartered in Gurugram, operates as an original design manufacturer offering end-to-end engineering and electronics manufacturing services across 5G, networking, automotive and cloud domains.
The companies did not disclose financial details or timelines for specific projects under the MoU.
