Partnership to deploy a full-stack digital platform aims to cut development cycles, boost localisation, and enable scalable, low-carbon manufacturing for next-gen electric vehicles

JSW Motors Ltd, the new energy vehicle (NEV) arm of the JSW Group, has entered into a long-term strategic partnership with Dassault Systèmes to build a digitally integrated product development and manufacturing ecosystem, as the company accelerates its entry into India’s evolving electric mobility market.
Under the collaboration, JSW Motors will deploy Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform as the digital backbone across its upcoming vehicle portfolio, spanning design, engineering, manufacturing and lifecycle management. The platform will support modular and scalable vehicle architectures and enable the company to handle multiple vehicle formats across NEV platforms.
The partnership also includes the integration of manufacturing operations management solutions through DELMIA applications, aimed at improving production efficiency, optimising resource utilisation and reducing the overall carbon footprint of operations.
Ranjan Nayak, CEO of JSW Motors Ltd, said the tie-up aligns with the company’s ambition to build a globally competitive, technology-led mobility ecosystem rooted in India. “We are delighted to partner with Dassault Systèmes to embed its state-of-the-art digital platform across the vehicle lifecycle, from design to manufacturing. By leveraging the best global technologies, we aim to accelerate development timelines while enhancing quality,” he said.
Nayak added that the company is in advanced discussions with domestic suppliers to deepen localisation and strengthen the automotive supply chain, signalling a broader push toward domestic value creation.
Deepak NG, Managing Director, India, Dassault Systèmes, said the collaboration comes at a critical juncture for the Indian automotive industry. “Our 3DEXPERIENCE platform will empower JSW Motors to manage the growing complexity of software-defined vehicles, while enabling end-to-end integration across their entire value chain,” he said.
He added that the use of virtual twin technology will enhance innovation, efficiency and scalability, helping the company remain competitive in a rapidly evolving market.
The partnership will also see JSW Motors establish an integrated product lifecycle management (PLM) ecosystem and a manufacturing execution system (MES) on a single platform, enabling digital continuity and end-to-end traceability.
