Positioned above the Gloster, the Majestor will take aim at established rivals such as the Toyota Fortuner Legender, Skoda Kodiaq, and is aimed at having a slice of the D+ SUV segment.

Pricing strategy and market implications

Industry estimates peg the Majestor’s pricing in the ₹40–45 lakh (ex-showroom) range. If priced aggressively, MG could disrupt a segment long dominated by a few nameplates, especially among buyers prioritising features and technology over legacy brand appeal, according to industry observers.

Technical specifications

Under the hood, the Majestor is widely expected to be powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. A 4x4 drivetrain will be central to its positioning, catering to buyers seeking genuine off-road capability alongside highway comfort—an important consideration in this segment, according to sources.

Feature-rich cabin, tech-led positioning

According to media reports, the premium SUV will be equipped with a large touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats and a comprehensive Level 2 ADAS suite. A 360-degree camera system and multiple drive modes are also likely, reinforcing MG’s push to offer a high feature-to-price ratio, as per media reports.

MG Motor India has made a great start to 2026 with impressive MG sales figures in India, showing a 9% year-on-year growth. In January 2026, the company sold 4,843 units, which reflects the strong demand for its  cars.

MG’s last launch in India
