Tata Motors on Thursday unveiled its new-generation Ultra Prime and Starbus Prime range of buses at Prawaas 5.0, showcasing an expanded portfolio of commercial passenger mobility solutions spanning conventional and electric powertrains.
The company said the new bus range has been developed to deliver enhanced passenger comfort, improved safety, and greater operational efficiency for school, staff and tourism applications, underscoring its focus on shaping the future of passenger transportation in India.

He said the company's latest offerings have been engineered to address diverse mobility needs ranging from employee transport and tourism to school transportation and last-mile connectivity. Backed by Tata Motors' nationwide service network, the new portfolio is designed to help operators improve uptime, lower operating costs and deliver a superior travel experience.
The newly launched Ultra Prime and Starbus Prime buses feature refreshed styling, upgraded interiors and lower noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) levels to improve ride quality. They are equipped with 29 advanced safety features, including a Driver Monitoring System, a 360-degree camera, Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and a Rear Parking Assistance System (RPAS).
Tata Motors also highlighted its LPO 1620 CNG as an economical solution for intercity and intracity passenger transport, offering high passenger capacity with lower operating costs while supporting cleaner mobility.
The Ultra Prime LPO 412 has been positioned as a premium platform for tourism and long-distance travel, focusing on ride comfort and passenger experience for intercity operators.
Expanding its electric mobility portfolio, the company showcased the Ultra Skool 9/9 EV, an electric school bus equipped with advanced safety features, fast-charging capability and an extended operating range. It also offers an optional paint scheme and graphics designed to make travel more comfortable for neurodivergent children.
The Ultra Prime RE Concept, unveiled for the first time in India, has been designed for urban bus operations with a focus on passenger comfort, operational reliability and higher fleet productivity.
For last-mile connectivity, Tata Motors displayed the Magic EV, which offers a claimed driving range of up to 120 km on a single charge while delivering low operating costs. The Winger Plus was showcased as a premium people mover for staff, institutional and tourism applications, featuring spacious interiors and improved passenger comfort.
Tata Motors said its passenger mobility business is supported by a nationwide network of more than 4,600 sales and service touchpoints. Customers also have access to the company's Sampoorna Seva 2.0 integrated service platform, which provides 24x7 assistance, annual maintenance solutions, and assured spare parts availability.
