In February, the Group announced the launch of Adani Health City (AHC), a network of integrated health campuses, to be implemented through its not-for-profit healthcare arm.
The Adani Group is making a major foray into healthcare, education, and skill development. As a starting point, the Group will set up two 1,000-bed medical colleges with integrated research facilities and wellness centres in Ahmedabad and Mumbai, in partnership with one of the world’s leading healthcare institutions, the Mayo Clinic of the U.S.
“Exactly three years ago, on my 60th birthday, my family pledged ₹60,000 crore to redefine healthcare, education, and skill development in India. The Adani Healthcare Temples are our first major step – world-class, affordable 1,000-bed campuses in Ahmedabad and Mumbai with medical colleges, research centres and wellness spaces all integrated together'', said Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, while addressing shareholders of Adani Enterprises today.
He said the Mayo Clinic will partner with the Adani Group to help build a future-ready, AI-driven, patient-centric healthcare ecosystem. Through its global consulting arm, Mayo Clinic has been sharing its expertise with independent healthcare providers across the world.
In February, the Group announced the launch of Adani Health City (AHC), a network of integrated health campuses, to be implemented through its not-for-profit healthcare arm. The family has committed to donating upwards of ₹6,000 crore to build the first two of these integrated health campuses in Ahmedabad and Mumbai. Gautam Adani said more such Adani Health Cities are planned across India.
Each of these integrated AHC campuses will include medical colleges with an annual intake of 150 undergraduate students, over 80 residents, and more than 40 fellows. They will also house 1,000-bed multi-super-specialty hospitals, step-down and transitional care facilities, and cutting-edge research infrastructure. The AHC ecosystem aims to serve people from all socio-economic backgrounds, train the next generation of doctors, and focus on clinical research, artificial intelligence, and biomedical informatics, the Group said.
In parallel, the Group has committed ₹2,000 crore to build a world-class skill university and finishing school in Mundra, aimed at empowering youth from across India. Through Schools of Excellence, global certifications, and partnerships with institutions like ITEES Singapore and IGCC, the goal is to create an industry-ready workforce, Adani said today.
