Capgemini on Wednesday announced its platinum partnership for the India-France Year of Innovation 2026, underscoring its commitment to advancing cross-border collaboration and accelerating innovation between the two countries.
As part of the initiative, Capgemini has developed a digital platform designed to connect innovators across India and France. The platform aims to provide a unified environment where organisations can collaborate, exchange knowledge, and stay updated on programmes and events taking place in both countries.
The company said its selection as a partner reflects its global innovation capabilities and track record in building ecosystems that link enterprises with emerging technologies, start-ups and academic institutions. Capgemini added that its continued investments in advanced technologies, including large-scale training of employees in generative AI, position it to support innovation-driven initiatives at scale.
“India and France are deepening their collaboration in emerging technologies, particularly in areas such as artificial intelligence, where both countries share a common vision and long-term strategic interests,” said Aiman Ezzat, Chief Executive Officer of the Capgemini Group. He said that 2026 marks a significant milestone in the bilateral innovation journey.
“As an AI-powered business and technology company and a proud partner for the Year of Innovation, Capgemini brings its expertise in supporting complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives across geographies,” Ezzat said, adding that the company combines technology leadership with experience in large ecosystem engagements to enable structured and seamless collaboration.
The announcement follows the joint inauguration of the India-France Innovation Forum 2026 in Mumbai by Narendra Modi and Emmanuel Macron. The two leaders declared that 2026 will be observed as the India-France Year of Innovation, highlighting their shared commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in research, start-ups and emerging technologies.
Addressing the forum, Prime Minister Modi described the initiative as a reflection of trust and shared values between two of the world’s leading innovation hubs, calling it both a celebration and a renewed commitment to deeper collaboration.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said 2026 will mark a significant milestone in India-France relations, with a renewed push towards deeper people-to-people engagement and stronger industry partnerships. He added that under the India Innovates 2026 programme in France, leading Indian technology start-ups will showcase solutions aimed at addressing global challenges.
