The state government is positioning the Davos platform as a key forum to project Madhya Pradesh as a competitive and investment-ready destination.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will address a global gathering of investors at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos as part of his maiden visit to the annual summit, with the aim of securing bulk investment commitments for the state.
According to an official release, Yadav’s address will primarily focus on attracting foreign investment to further strengthen Madhya Pradesh’s tourism sector while also showcasing opportunities across a wide range of industries. The state government is positioning the Davos platform as a key forum to project Madhya Pradesh as a competitive and investment-ready destination.
“We want investment to come to Madhya Pradesh in all sectors, opening job opportunities for youth and making the state economically strong,” the chief minister said. “With the objective of bringing investment into every sector—be it agriculture, organic farming or tourism—I am going to Davos,” he added.
Government sources said Madhya Pradesh has built a strong global identity in tourism and intends to leverage this recognition to attract investments in allied sectors such as hospitality, destination development, film tourism and related services. The state has recorded tourist arrivals of over 133 million in recent years, underlining its emergence as one of India’s most sought-after travel destinations.
During the WEF meetings, Yadav will also participate in high-level discussions on the renewable energy sector, including sessions focused on utility-scale energy transition, investment risk mitigation and the role of sub-national governments. Through these engagements, the state will present its model for promoting green energy projects, encouraging private sector participation and strengthening long-term energy security.
Madhya Pradesh’s growing tourism potential will be highlighted in a special session titled ‘Reimagining Tourism at Scale’. The session will bring together global representatives from international hospitality chains, aviation companies, tourism forums and the creative industries to discuss strategies for positioning tourism through a convergence of culture, heritage, innovation and connectivity as a key driver of economic growth and employment.
The chief minister is also scheduled to hold targeted one-to-one meetings with global industry leaders from sectors such as energy, manufacturing, defence, healthcare, FMCG, aviation, and emerging technologies. These interactions are aimed at advancing concrete investment proposals, fostering long-term industrial collaboration and generating employment opportunities in the state.
In another key session, ‘Invest in India: Madhya Pradesh – A Strategic Investment Hub’, the state government will present Madhya Pradesh’s industrial potential, infrastructure preparedness and sector-specific policy framework to global investors.
Yadav will also engage in roundtable discussions, networking meetings and interactions with industry leaders and global political representatives. Officials said the Davos visit is a strategic initiative to prepare Madhya Pradesh for the future economy by leveraging investment, technology and global collaboration.
