New corridors aligned with trade tailwinds as logistics major eyes cross-border e-commerce growth

Delhivery has expanded its international logistics offering by launching economy air shipping services to the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia, as it sharpens focus on the fast-growing cross-border e-commerce and MSME export segment.
The rollout follows the company’s entry into the US corridor in December 2025 and marks a broader push to scale its global delivery network amid improving trade visibility and policy tailwinds. The latest expansion comes at a time when India is advancing trade agreements with key markets, including the anticipated India–UK Free Trade Agreement, alongside ongoing negotiations with Canada and Australia.
The newly added routes are expected to strengthen access for Indian exporters—particularly MSMEs and D2C brands—shipping goods such as apparel, handicrafts, and electronics to high-demand international markets. The service integrates Delhivery’s domestic infrastructure to connect Tier 2 and Tier 3 manufacturing clusters with global hubs, addressing a key bottleneck in export logistics.
Jidesh Haridas, SVP & Head – International, said: “Lower trade barriers are creating new opportunities, but high shipping costs and documentation complexity remain challenges. The focus is on simplifying cross-border logistics while maintaining cost efficiency.”
The economy air service is positioned as a lower-cost alternative to premium express offerings, with features such as automated customs documentation and end-to-end shipment tracking aimed at improving turnaround times and operational visibility.
Available via the company’s unified logistics platform, the offering enables exporters to manage domestic and international shipments, billing, and returns through a single interface—an increasingly critical requirement as sellers scale across geographies.
Industry observers note that logistics providers are recalibrating pricing and service tiers to capture demand from smaller exporters facing margin pressures. Delhivery’s economy service is aligned with this shift, focusing on affordability without significantly compromising delivery timelines.
Since the initial launch of its international service, the company has seen traction from both e-commerce sellers and traditional exporters. The latest expansion signals a continued build-out of global corridors through 2026, as Delhivery positions itself to capitalise on the next phase of India’s export growth cycle.
