The scholarships are linked to the Hinduja King’s Health Partners’ Academy, established in 2024 following a philanthropic contribution by the foundation’s UK arm to King’s College London. The initiative supports PhD research in healthcare technologies and MSc studies in MedTech Innovation & Entrepreneurship.

Under the programme, four PhD scholarships and five MSc scholarships are currently open for applications for the academic session beginning October 2026. The MSc scholarships for Indian citizens include one scholarship covering 80% of tuition fees and four scholarships covering 50% of fees.

Three PhD scholars and two MSc scholars joined King’s College London in October 2025, while another PhD scholar began studies in February this year.

Focus on healthcare talent and research

The partnership also includes healthcare training initiatives between Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and P.D. Hinduja Hospital, including nurses’ training, observerships and online leadership programmes.

Ashok Hinduja, chairman of the Hinduja Foundation, said the initiative aligns with the group’s vision of building globally competitive healthcare capabilities in India.

“Guided by our philosophy of ‘Act Local, Think Global’, we believe investing in future-ready talent is essential to building resilient healthcare systems in India that are aligned with global standards, contributing to the vision of a Viksit Bharat,” he said.
