The summit will bring together participants from over 100 countries, including 15 to 20 Heads of Government, more than 50 ministers, and over 40 CEOs from leading Indian and global companies

The India AI Impact Summit 2026, to be held in New Delhi from February 16 to 20, is expected to be the largest global AI summit hosted so far. The event has already received more than 35,000 registrations from across the world, showing strong global interest in India’s growing role in artificial intelligence.
"The Summit, that has attracted unprecedented interest from the global community with over 35,000 registrations, received ahead of the event, will prioritise the translation of vision into execution, with a clear focus on outcomes that matter on the ground,” official release said.
The summit will bring together participants from over 100 countries, including 15 to 20 Heads of Government, more than 50 ministers, and over 40 CEOs from leading Indian and global companies. Around 500 experts from the global AI ecosystem, including innovators, researchers, and chief technology officers, are also expected to attend.
According to officials, the focus of the summit will be on turning ideas into real action. Discussions will centre on how artificial intelligence can be used in a responsible, inclusive, and practical way to create real impact on the ground.
One of the major highlights of the event will be a startup showcase featuring more than 500 AI startups. The summit will also host around 500 sessions, making it one of the most wide-ranging AI events held globally.
The preparations for the summit have already seen large participation. Over 1,300 proposals were submitted for pre-summit events, and more than 500 such events have been held in India and abroad. The summit framework also includes seven major events that together have engaged over 3 lakh participants.
The global AI summit journey began with discussions on AI risks at Bletchley Park, followed by talks on ethics and inclusion in Seoul, and later on implementation of shared principles in Paris. The India AI Impact Summit reflects India’s growing influence in shaping global AI discussions.
Officials said the summit aims to strengthen global cooperation on artificial intelligence by encouraging dialogue between governments, businesses, researchers and civil society. The discussions are expected to help countries share best practices, build common frameworks, and explore how AI can support development goals while addressing concerns related to safety, ethics and inclusion.
