The collaboration will leverage Schneider Electric’s advanced automation technology at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC SHAR) at ISRO’s spaceport in Sriharikota, the company announced in a release on Tuesday.
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has partnered with technology solutions provider Schneider Electric to enhance the operations of the launch vehicle and satellite missions.
Announced on Tuesday, the collaboration will leverage Schneider Electric’s advanced automation technology at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC SHAR) at ISRO’s spaceport in Sriharikota.

ISRO leads India’s space exploration and satellite launch efforts, advancing scientific research, satellite communications, and interplanetary missions.
Gaganyaan is a major upcoming mission for ISRO, which is going to be India's first human spaceflight mission. Recently, in August, ISRO had completed its first Integrated Air Drop Test (IADT-01) of parachute-based deceleration system for Gaganyaan missions. This test was conducted in collaboration with the Indian Air Force, DRDO,Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard.
This is not the first time the company has partnered with ISRO. For the past 15 years, Schneider Electric has supported ISRO’s launch operations, contributing to missions including Chandrayaan-3 in 2023, and GSLV-F16/NISAR mission in 2025.
The company has formalised its partnership with ISRO, to expand its ongoing deployments at Sriharikota, delivering advanced automation solutions essential to India’s space missions.
Over the years, Schneider Electric has implemented numerous automation systems at SDSC SHAR, establishing itself as a key technology partner for ISRO.
Schneider Electric is majority-owned by its French parent company, with Temasek holding a minority stake. Recently, the company was in news as the French parent had reportedly expressed interest in acquiring the entire majority share. In India, Schneider completed the merger of its low-voltage and industrial automation business with Larsen & Toubro Ltd.’s electrical and automation operations.
