Coming down heavily on the opposition for creating panic on the LPG issue, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said the government will try its best to ensure that the citizens are not adversely impacted by the crisis in West Asia.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with Iranian president Masoud Pezeshkian short while back and conveyed that safety and security of Indian nationals, and unhindered transit of goods and energy are India's top priorities.
"The safety and security of Indian nationals, along with the need for unhindered transit of goods and energy, remain India’s top priorities. Reiterated India’s commitment to peace and stability and urged for dialogue and diplomacy," PM Modi said in a tweet short while ago.
Also, coming down heavily on the opposition for creating panic on the LPG issue, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said the government will try its best to ensure that the that the citizens and farmers of the country are not adversely impacted by the crisis in West Asia.
He said India is leaving no stone unturned to deal with the crisis arising due to geo-political developments in West Asia.
"No nation in the world is untouched by the challenges that have come up on global front. India is also not leaving any stone unturned to deal with this challenge," he added.
PM Modi also urged the state governments to take necessary steps so that black marketing and rumour mongering does not take place. "It is very important to monitor black marketing and take trick action against those involved in such practices," PM Modi said.
About the Russia- Ukraine war, PM Modi said that India has witnessed how situations affect Global markets and citizens. "The Indian government is trying all measures to ensure that war conditions do not impact the citizens adversely," PM Modi said.
He added that during the Russia Ukraine war, the fertilizer prices went to the roof. "Despite that urea which was selling at ₹3,000 in the international market was made available to the Indian farmers for ₹300. This time also the government will try its best that no adverse impact comes on the individuals and the farmers of the country," PM Modi said.
Coming down heavily on Opposition's protest amidst reports of LPG shortage in the country, PM Modi today said some people are creating this panic driven by their agenda.
"Some people are trying to create panic on the LPG supply issue. They are running an agenda. By doing so, they are not only exposing themselves but also doing a harm to the country," PM Modi said at the event.
Earlier, the government said no dry out has been reported at any LPG retail outlets or among the distribution network in the country. The government also urged consumers that there is no need for panic booking and the government is doing its best to ensure supplies.
That said, the government has also imposed a 25-day minimum booking of LPG cylinders as a demand management measure in urban areas and 45 days in rural areas.
